Concrete, T8 fluorescent tube light, electrical wiring.The hypotenuse refers to the longest side of a right triangle. When viewed directly from the front or side projections, the flourescent tube light appears to form the hypotenuse of this 3D triangle. The fluorescent tube is cast into the concrete and cannot be replaced, meaning this sculptural table light has a determined life span, a comment on the concept of “planned obsolescence” commonly employed in consumer product designs such as smartphones.
