Birch plywood with castile soap finishTree Chair 2 is a sculpted plywood chair. It’s visual language references natural forms – skeletons and bones, dinosaur anatomy, and dead branches, smooth and free of bark; all while itself being made of the material of a tree: Plywood– a material that has been drastically altered from its original form yet one that retains its structural and sculptural qualities; the layers of plies even resembling grain patterns when carved.
